How do you have clips, matrix navigation and other force features available in your build? Are you running an older beta build?

Zero learning curve for a everyday force user. Marcus I saw you flying though those screens like it was nothing. The only thing that is different is that Home Screen. I'm ready for them to drop the Force update and I am praying they fixed more of the bugs that we have been reporting. Hopefully people will be ok with this version refresh on the mpc.

That's why Im glad with Splice you can generate a license certificate as proof that you can use the sample. They send a copy to your email that you can save and download.

The issue is that there are exclusive license and non-exclusive. Non-exclusive which may be royalty free means you can monetize for personal projects but not on major streaming platforms. Exclusive means you can use it anywhere & it's yours with full copyright if you paid the license fee or you created it from scratch without 3rd party samples. So if you have creators using non-exclusive samples in their content and posting it on major streaming platforms that's when issues occur. There is no clear solution to this other than to prove where your sourced your samples from when disputes come up. This is why nobody should be using random free samples online for professional purposes.

Yeah I was pretty sure when I bought the live 2 it was gonna be a worthwhile investment. It's only gotten better and better over time. First they gave us stems and now this. This is insane.

I have both the MPC and the Force. I really like the Force for what it is and use it primarily as a sequencer for external midi hardware synths. It's great for that. I also have it synced to my MPC X, which is what I use to sequence drums. With all of that said, I like most of what Akai has done with the update as far as bringing many of the Force features to the MPC. For that reason I'm definitely looking forward to trying it out. However, one thing I don't like about this new workflow (or maybe I'll just have to grow on it and adapt) is the fact Akai has completely done away with independent programs. This means I can't just load up a bunch of drumkits into memory at once (like I'm used to doing) and then just get busy making a beat and selecting between my loaded drumkits as I move to a new track while making a beat. I like doing it this way because I think it's faster. In 3.0 (and on the Force as well), a drumkit is permanently attached to a specific track and not freely assignable after being loaded. Then again, maybe this isn't a bad thing. It would literally force me to think about having a specific sound tailored to fit a particular track in a sequence as opposed to just having drumkits loaded into memory and picking from them. There is something to be said about creating a custom drumkit for each beat you make (which is what the new workflow is geared toward) instead of just reusing to same drumkits over and over for every beat you make and being "complacent" (which is what the "current" workflow accommodates). So maybe this new workflow will not only force me to change the way I make beats, but also force me to change the way I "think" and become more creative and put more thought into drum sound selection for each track in beat I make. I've heard a few well-known producers mention they make custom drumkits for every beat they make and never use the same drums over and over. That's not something that I've been doing. Perhaps it's time for me to start. With 3.0 forcing the user to create a new track (when starting a new track) and load a drumkit (if it's a drumtrack), unless you duplicate the previous track of course, loading the same kits will become less tempting, thus inspiring more creative thought into drum sample selection for a track. No one wants all of their beats to sound the same, well, at least I don't. I also think this new workflow design is more efficient when it comes to memory usage and projects size as well. No more projects containing unused drumkits and samples that just waste memory when loaded as well as storage space when saved.

They also simplified the Main menu for beginners who did not understand the interface of the MPC.

To me, they just kinda really made the Force and MPC compatible with each other. Now you will probably be able to play a Force project that was used in Arranger view.

Hi, as an AKAI FORCE user, I’am waiting for the next updates, and I hope it sooner. Sometime we AKAI Force users feels segregated, because all R&D are focused on AKAI MPC, AKAI MPC Keys, we would like to be concerned by all updates as we’re part of the AKAI Family. Peace.

This is really most like when proprietary sample file formats went away. DAWs and VSTs are a PITA, and The Force was the first to bring everything under one roof. We are free of operating system BS and don’t need a computer until we choose to master. This is where we are going, so I think a good thing. Companies like Native Instruments and Roland take note those crooked plug-in subscription models are dead. Akai really has done musicians a solid, as the heavyweight champion of samplers should. But now….I NEED 64 pads and honestly would love an 88 pad Force. Hook us up Akai!
